To say that the public opinion concerning marijuana has swayed over the last few years would be an understatement. With a vote to legalize marijuana in Oregon and Alaska this year, and Washington and Colorado over a year ago, the trends are definitely showing at the voters box.
The legalization trend and an increase in information available about marijuana has taken away some of the stigma that was grafted into the public perception of marijuana over the last century.
Enter Silver Princess, a 93 year old great grandmother, and her son Open Sky, who published a YouTube video of their first experience with marijuana. We assume these are stage names to help protect their identity.
The video is entertaining watching the couple try marijuana for the first time, but doesn’t offer insight that most people familiar with marijuana don’t already know. More interesting though is that although marijuana is fully legal in four states, these folks published a video of themselves committing a federal crime.
We wouldn’t have shared this video if we felt there was a chance these fine folks would be visited by the DEA. How far we have come, to live in a day and age where adults can consume marijuana and not feel like criminals. And to our friends Silver Princess and Open Sky, thanks for sharing your experience.
